Old Seoul corners where nothing's trying too hard.
Why YAKSU, why now
Yaksu sits between Sindang and Geumho, both already covered by the crew, and the satellite neighborhood piece flags it as the next area rising in the corridor. The 2030s are bringing foot traffic without the noise.
1. Conway Coffee
- 13 Dasan-ro 11-gil, Jung District, Seoul
- 4.7 · レビュー 67件 · 베이커리
Conway opens the course because mornings here should start light. A bakery that doubles as a coffee stop, rated high enough to trust, and the kind of place that works before the neighborhood fills in. You pick up what you need and the rest of the day has room to breathe.

2. WooYaJae
- 101-4 Dasan-ro, Jung District, Seoul
- 4.8 · レビュー 32件 · 술집
WooYaJae closes the route because this is where Yaksu earns its spot on the map. A bar with a view, a curated selection, and the evening stretched out in front of you. The course should end somewhere you don't want to leave yet.

The walk between
The strip between them is the part of Yaksu that hasn't decided what it wants to be yet. Low buildings, a few newer spots starting to fill in, and enough quiet that you notice the light changing as the day moves.
- Conway sets out pastries later in the morning, so if you arrive early, expect to wait a bit for the full selection.
- WooYaJae works best when you have no next place to be. The view hits differently in fall, and the food pairs well enough with the drinks that you can make an evening of it.
FAQ
- Does this course work on weekends, or is it better during the week?
- Weekdays feel more natural here, especially at Conway, where the morning rhythm is calmer. The neighborhood itself doesn't push crowds yet, so weekends won't ruin it, but the timing feels more intentional Monday through Friday.
- Should I book ahead for WooYaJae?
- With 32 reviews at a 4.8 rating, it hasn't hit critical mass yet. Walking in should be fine most nights, though securing a window spot earlier in the evening gives you better odds for the view multiple reviews mention.
