"How do I get from Incheon to my hotel?" is one of the first questions travelers ask us in our chat. Our answer is almost always the same — the airport limousine bus — and here's the full version of why, and how to ride it.

Why we recommend the bus

Taxis are always an option, but they're pricey for the airport run. The subway works too, but it takes a while to reach Seoul and usually means transfers with your bags. The bus takes care of all that: your suitcases go in the luggage bay under the bus, you get a reserved seat, and it drops you at major hotel areas and neighborhood stops — often walking distance from your hotel. No transfers, no stairs, no dragging luggage through subway fare gates.

Where to catch it and how to buy a ticket

• Exit into the arrivals hall (Level 1, both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) and look for the orange Airport Limousine counters — or the self-service kiosks next to them, which take foreign credit cards.
• Your ticket shows a bay number; the numbered bays are right outside the arrivals hall.
• One thing that surprises people: you can't just tap a T-money card to board at the airport. Seats are reserved, so buy the ticket first.
• Buses run every 15–40 minutes depending on the route. Popular ones: 6015 (Myeongdong), 6009 (Gangnam).

How much and how long

• Seoul routes cost ₩17,000 (standard) or ₩18,000 (premium).
• The ride into the city takes 60–90 minutes depending on traffic.
• Arriving late? Night buses (N6000, N6001, N6002, N6701, N6703) keep running after the regular lines stop — the N6001 reaches Seoul Station and Gangnam in about 75 minutes, for the same ₩17,000 fare.

Going back to the airport

The return trip is even easier: at a bus stop in the city, you can simply tap your T-money card when boarding — just make sure it has at least ₩17,000–18,000 on it. Or buy a seat in advance online (Tmoney GO app) if you're flying out at a busy hour.

Bus, train, or taxi?

• Limousine bus — our default recommendation: luggage handled, seat guaranteed, hotel-area stops.
• AREX express train — 43 minutes to Seoul Station, ₩13,000 at the counter (online discounts around ₩11,500). Great if your hotel is near Seoul Station or right on a subway line and you pack light.
• All-stop train — the budget option at ₩4,950, about 66 minutes, but it's a commuter train: no luggage racks to speak of, and you may have to stand if the train is busy.
• Taxi — several times the bus fare. Worth it mainly for groups of 3–4 with lots of bags, or awkward late-night arrivals.

For most first-time visitors: bus in, and decide the way back based on where you're staying.
