Christmas in Korea may feel different from what you are used to
December 25 is a public holiday, but it is not built around staying home the way it is in a lot of other countries. People go out. The shopping streets stay lit and busy well after dark, and a lot of the people around you are out with someone. If you grew up with Christmas as something quiet indoors, Seoul on the 25th will feel like a different kind of day. Not worse. Just louder.

What stays open
Cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and department stores are generally open, and the subway and buses run. Some smaller independent places close for the holiday, and some restaurants switch to a set menu for the 24th and 25th, so if there is one specific place you want, check its own page or reservation listing before you go.
Where the lights are
Myeongdong and Cheonggyecheon are the ones most visitors end up at. The Shinsegae department store facade near Myeongdong draws a crowd and gets photographed more than it gets looked at. Lotte World Tower and the Yeouido side of the river do their own versions. Each one sets its own dates and hours and they change year to year, so check the official page for whichever one you want rather than an old blog post.
What the day is like on your own
Seoul is an easy city to be alone in, and the 25th is no exception. You can eat alone, walk alone, take the photo alone, and nobody around you will think anything of it. What you may notice is how many people are out with someone that evening. That is about what you see, not about how anyone treats you.
